COVID 19 and Different aspects of Indian Labour Market
COVID had put a halt to the earning ability for the majority of the population across the world, it brought the world economy to a stagnant scenario along with an array of changes in the socio-economic policy makings. India is also not out of that destructive effects. The Government figures itself suggests a steady fall in the industrial production of over 16.5% per annum since March 2020, that is, since the inception of the lockdown. Although it was the highest fall since 1994 but lockdown was the prior reason, which was imposed to curb the spread of the virus, which cannot be denied. Sudden lockdown and its prolonged continuation not only shut down small, medium businesses for a certain duration or forever, it created massive unemployment and put a cut on the employment generation possibilities for a longer period because of sluggishness in the economic functions. It cannot be denied that the COVID caused a longer disruption which the policy response has also been very slow – as a result of these issues the potential growth rate of the Emerging economy India has also been severely affected. But even if we keep the GDP growth out of our discussion, we would find that unemployment, increasing inflation coupled with full-recovery of the economic activities are hurdles which need to be erased. The world, along with India, has also suffered the crucial depression phase in the post Great Depression era and it has not fully come over it. The present study focuses on two aspects regarding Indian economy – how the COVID 19 affected the Indian labour market and how badly the slowdown of the labour market is going to be because of concurrent and prolonged lockdowns of economic activities and recurrence of COVID in three waves. How the vulnerable groups are affected and the work from home culture will sustain – everything has been given importance in this study. The study ends with suggesting suitable policy measures for dealing with this socio-economic phenomenon of unemployment which is aggravated by COVID.

Gender Representation of Paite and Khasi Tribe of North East India in Selected Folklores
Folktales/Folklores originally known as ‘popular antiquities’ are stories of a community which gets passed from one generation to next generation over the ages. The literary theories pertaining to folklores, be it anthropological, comparative, oral-formulaic or psychoanalytical suggest that the study of folklores is indeed an upcoming school of thought and its social function in the academia can no longer be taken lightly. Gender and gender studies, similarly, is an interdisciplinary study which can and is to be applied in every field of humanities in order to analyze the gendered representations of a group of people or a community in art, culture and literary studies. Re-interrogating gender studies or the question of gender disparity in folklore would provide us a deep analysis of how such simple stories, when examined transforms into a completely new discussion on culture and cultural representations.
This paper would be discussing two Paite and two Khasi folklore of North East India. This, in turn, shall help us to analyze and discuss the cultural representations of a particular culture and how such representations shape the perception of women in the Paite and Khasi society or the representation of women in a society as a whole.
The Paite Tribe who are patriarchal constitutes one of the largest tribe in Manipur, they are recognized as Scheduled Tribes by the Government of India. They mainly inhabit the Churachandpur District of Manipur. The Paite tribe has their own customary rules and laws and traditions regarding succession, marriage, descent. The earlier records of these folklore were not available in a print form and was pass on through orally. The Khasis on the other hand are Matrilineal. The youngest daughter inherits ancestral property and material wealth, and the husband lives at his wife’s residence.

Treatment Inertia: Care about ‘Hypertension’
High blood pressure is the most common cause of death and the greatest risk factor for death. More than 1.3 billion people worldwide and more than 220 million people in India suffer from hypertension. According to the ICMR, 1 in 4 people in India suffer from hypertension. Undetected and untreated hypertension increases the risk of heart attack, damage to arteries, stroke, kidney failure etc. Most people are unaware of this because, on the one hand, there are no warning signs and, on the other, there is a great deal of inertia in treatment after diagnosis.
Treatment inertia is a failure of the healthcare provider to initiate or intensify treatment when treatment goals are not being met. Many people are inert because they deny the diagnosis of high blood pressure, do not take the consequences seriously, fail to take medication, are unaware of the consequences and some doctors underestimate the consequences. High blood pressure is not a disease, but the main cause of other diseases. This study addresses inertia in the treatment of hypertension and comparatively analyses how people manage their blood pressure through proper treatment. Fifty samples were collected through interviews and secondary data to achieve the objective of this study.

The Black American Church and Homosexuality: A Hermeneutical Analysis
This work offers a hermeneutical analysis and framework for understanding the emerging acceptance of homosexuality among a few Black American Protestant church leaders and congregants in the age of neoliberal globalization under American hegemony. I argue that the White Christian Western world ended Black history as a distinct form of system and social integration unfolding onto the world by integrating them into the dialectic of their (neo) liberal (Protestant) capitalist means and modes of production. This process, contemporarily, in postindustrial America, has led to the queerification and feminization of the so-called Black American (fictitious) community. As such, the emerging phenomenon of embracing homosexuality as church doctrine is related to black relations to the means and modes of production, which embraces and reinforces the identity politics and diversified consumerism by which the superstructure of the postindustrial economic base of the American service economy is constituted.

Relationships between Socioemotional Competencies and Happiness: Testing the Moderating and Mediating Role of Mindfulness and Social Media Engagement in a Sample of Nepalese Emerging Adults
This study examines the relationship between socioemotional competencies (SEC) and happiness among emerging adults, with a focus on the moderating and mediating roles of mindfulness and social media engagement (SME). A total of 70 participants (Mage = 25.00, SD = 6.33), including 43% women (n = 30), were involved. Data analysis employed hierarchical regression, moderation, and mediation analyses. Results indicate a significant positive association between SEC and happiness, mediated by mindfulness, whereas the moderating effect of SME was non-significant. High SME was found to moderate the relationship between SEC and happiness significantly, although its mediating effect was non-significant. These findings highlight the importance of SEC and mindfulness in enhancing happiness and suggest avenues for further research on their interplay with SME.
